Travel Guide Brussels: Our shopping tips in the Dansaert district
We love short weekend trips! Hop on the train, escape the daily grind, and we're in Brussels in two hours. The Belgian metropolis is always worth a visit, and the shopping here is especially good ;) The Dansaert district, just 15 minutes from the train station, is a true shopper's paradise. Rue Antoine Dansaert is the main artery of the district, but there are also lovely things to discover in the side streets Rue des Chartreux and Rue de Flandre. Here are our highlights for a great weekend in Brussels:
The Typographer
Stationery is always a treat, especially when it's as well-curated and hand-made as at le typographe. The stationery selection includes all kinds of writing materials, from notepads, matching pens, and stylish office supplies to special cards with wordplay. Neon is the color of the moment, and we'd love to take everything home with us ;)

Hunting & Collecting
As the name suggests, the two owners hunt and collect unusual objects, fashion, and accessories. Selected and unusual labels such as jewelry from Hermina Wristwear, high-fashion items, and sneaker special editions are showcased in this fantastic store. The shop's interior design is just as impressive as its products. Pure inspiration!

Isabelle Bajart
One of the most beautiful vintage shops in Brussels is Isabelle Bajart. The dresses, shoes, and accessories offered are high-quality designer products in top condition, lovingly curated and presented.

Urban Therapy
The two owners have opened an unusual concept store on Rue de Flandre. The focus is on unusual terrariums from Paris, complemented by accessories and stationery. Themed workshops and small performances round out the offerings.

Maison Margiela
The renowned Antwerp designer prefers to remain anonymous and mysterious. The Brussels store is located in an old corner building, its facade painted entirely white and decorated with cryptic lettering. Even from the outside, the store is worth seeing and Instagramming. You can only get in if you sound – that's how the world of Maison Margiela opens up ;)

Paul Marius
Relatively new on Rue Antoine Dansaert is the beautiful leather shop Paul Marius. Inspired by vintage satchels, mail bags, and carry-on luggage from the 1970s, this French brand offers an exclusive collection of handmade bags and accessories. You can linger in this store forever. Once you've decided on a model (and that's hard ;), there are countless color variations and various leather finishes. If you love craftsmanship and leather, you're in the right place.

Saint-Géry Halls
The former market building is a great location, located on one of Brussels' busiest squares. The attached Café des Halles is a pleasant place to linger and people-watch. The completely renovated building offers space for all kinds of events, from art exhibitions to party series in the basement vaults and exciting market concepts. A special highlight is the Brussels Vintage Market, which takes place every first Sunday of the month and has established itself as a meeting place for vintage lovers.

Artful overnight stay at B&B Drumum
If one day in Brussels isn't enough for shopping (and when is one day enough?), we checked out the extraordinary B&B Drumum in the Dansaert district. The rooms couldn't be more different, as each is designed by an artist or artist collective. Check out our hotel tip for more details. Stay tuned...
